The other day I caught a thread on Twitter/X started by Tyler Kirk asking for unhinged historical erotica ideas. One of my favorite writers, Thea Landen, tossed out a salacious scenario involving a couple of America’s Founding Fathers. That sparked my own idea, which you can read in full on Medium, and inspired me to try my hand at a Medium publication.

This publication will be open to any writers on Medium who want to contribute a sexy story that deals with American themes, broadly understood: it can be satirical, historical, romantic, or just plain dirty, so long as there’s something distinctly American (broadly understood) in its themes and settings. If you’re a writer on Medium, you can submit your story when publishing, and I’ll review it and add it to the publication if it’s a good fit.

And if you’re a reader of smut (which if you’re here I suppose you are …), you will find some great stories to indulge your interests! I’ll highlight them here as they come in.

My first story, “The Pursuit of Happiness,” imagines John Adams offering Thomas Jefferson a little extra inspiration during the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. It is, obviously, a fantasy; though John and Tom were close friends toward the end of their lives, and both passed away on July 4, 1826, there’s no documentary evidence of a wild MM romp involving these particular Founding Fathers. Though, as a historian, I must note that lack of documentary evidence doesn’t always mean something didn’t happen …
