With Insatiable Ingrid’s Fifth Shift arriving October 21, it makes sense that folks are snapping up some of her earlier adventures. I was surprised, and pleased, to see Night Nurse, the first book in the Callie’s Costume Closet series, make an appearance, as well as PURSUED, the last book (so far) in that series. (It’s a delightfully Gothic little tale that I may expand in the future.)
“Insatiable Ingrid” makes a cameo of sorts in “Night Nurse” as an in-story dirty paperback — I’ve been planning Ingrid’s adventures for a while!
#5: PURSUED
After the nurse and cheerleader outfits, it’s Callie’s turn to pick a scenario for their next bedroom play date. Callie expects to find mystery and passion when she puts on the velvet cloak and insists that Luca become a dark and brooding duke. But has she taken an unwitting step into a world of peril, with danger around every dark corner and escape tantalizingly out of reach?
#4: Night Nurse
Callie and her husband Luca discover a secret room in the old house they just bought on the outskirts of Milhawket, stuffed to overflowing with a stunning variety of costumes. Luca thinks that nurse’s costume would look pretty sexy on Callie, but Callie’s not so sure — her acting career ended when she was Girl #3 in her high school production of “Bye Bye Birdie.”
But there’s something about the look in Luca’s eyes, and the way the costume hugs her hips, that gets Callie’s engine revving …

#2: Insatiable Ingrid’s Third Shift
Ingrid Igelstöm is back for her third night on Ward X, tending to Dr. Tikelmeister’s patients with Nurse Nina while receiving special treatment for her own condition. And Dr. Tikelmeister’s colleague, Dr. Lipintung, has a prescription of her own for Ingrid: a device intended to balance Ingrid’s responses to the situations she encounters on Ward X, while also gathering critical data that will surely prove essential for the doctor’s continued treatments.
#1: Insatiable Ingrid’s Fourth Shift
Ingrid’s third shift on Ward X left her questioning everything about the path that had led her from her bucolic home in Mälarby. She is no longer the naive if willing young nurse she was when she first came to Tender Mercy Hospital; she has seen and experienced delights and debaucheries she could never have imagined.
She expects to have a quiet day before her next shift, recovering from the strenuous events of the previous night, when a mysterious visitor arrives at her door: Victor Nomikos, a man with his own dark secrets, has come to bring her back to Ward X for a special study designed by Dr. Lipintung.
