After careful consideration, I’m planning to update how I price my ebooks. I’m letting my loyal readers know so you can stock up now well ahead of the change.

Right now, most of my books are priced at $2.99 each on Amazon and other platforms, regardless of length or genre. That’s largely because when I started publishing a couple of years ago, I was releasing almost exclusively short erotica, and $2.99 has been the expected price point for a few years.

But a lot of my stories — maybe even most by this point — aren’t really short erotica. In the last year, I’ve been moving toward longer erotic and steamy romance, and while I expect to continue releasing short erotica on occasion, I intend to focus more on erotic romance. The stories that I write now tend to be longer, heavier on plot and characterization, and definitely fit with the romance framework. They also take longer to write and edit, and, quite honestly, require more emotional effort.

Starting June 1, I will be changing the prices of stories that are 20,000 words or longer (roughly 100 pages on a Kindle) to $3.99, from $2.99. Bundles of books that fall into this category (currently just the Mapping the Boundaries of Love collection) will also increase from $6.99 to $9.99. My two short erotica bundles will stay at $6.99.

New books that are put on pre-order will be listed at $2.99 for the first 30 days, then will be priced at $3.99 after that if they’re in the 20,000 words or longer category.

A few of my books are going to stay at special low prices: The Center of Attention will remain 99 cents, and the Too Hot to Sleep collections will stay at $1.99 each. These are good introductions to my work, and a great place to start if you haven’t read them yet.

Here are the stories that will be going from $2.99 to $3.99 after June 1; now would be a great time to stock up at a lower price!
