If you’ll indulge me in a little inside baseball from the indie erotica and romance world …

One of the ways indie writers try to reach new audiences is through paid newsletter listings. By far the best, with the widest reach and the best variety of titles, is Bookspry (if you haven’t signed up for their daily romance and erotica newsletters, you absolutely must!); buying a spot in their newsletter for free and discounted books has helped me land on a lot of new fans’ reading lists. But because it’s such a good value, the slots fill up fast when they open up on the first of the month, and you often have to book one far in advance, before you’re even sure what you’re going to promote.

And then, of course, if you’re like me, you promptly forget that you booked something.

Such was the case this past Thursday, when I got a reminder email from Bookspry that I needed to have a free book ready to go for Friday. Eek! I was so focused on my current works-in-progress and promoting The Heart’s Hunger that I completely forgot to schedule something!

Luckily, the Amazon promotions stars were aligned (this is another inside baseball topic for another time …), both in my favor and in yours, dear reader: I was able to drop one of my favorite books, A Dip in the Lake, into the Bookspry promotion, and set the next four books in the series — Off the Leash, Madeline’s Awakening, Casey’s Story, and The Contours of Desire — to just 99 cents each (and 99p in the UK).

These five books comprise the Mapping the Boundaries of Love series, which tells an epic tale of erotic awakening that begins with a wilderness lost weekend in “A Dip in the Lake” and ends on the wild, wintry shores of Lake Makanogin in “The Contours of Desire.”

“A Dip in the Lake” will be free through May 20, and the rest will be 99 cents until May 24.

It just so happens that I’m currently off the grid, back in the lake country that inspired A Dip in the Lake, The Contours of Desire, Dido Reclaimed, and The Night of the Storm, working on three more stories of love in the wild: Nothing Like the Sun, Daisy in the Duffer Seat, and Skinnydip.
