Though the series begins with “A Dip in the Lake,” “Off the Leash” kicks off the three versions of that wild weekend that are continued in “Madeline’s Awakening” and “Casey’s Story” — I think of it as a sort of sexy “Seven Samurai” tale. The passion and heartache this series launches resolves in “The Contours of Desire,” set on the snowy shores of Lake Makanogin.
