So here’s a little peek behind the curtain at the glamorous publishing house that is Cornelia Quick Industries Unlimited …
I usually schedule my sales and promotions a month or two in advance — if I’m going to buy a spot on one of the big promo sites or newsletters, I need a lot of lead time, and I like to do some strategizing so a month’s sales all support each other. I’ve been putting one of my gangbang stories up free each month, which gets some attention on the rest of them, and attention is good!
Somehow, though, my systems failed this month. I had set “Groped by the Garage Band” as my free title and then completely forgot about it when the time came to book a promotional slot, so I ended up booking “Pounded at Pirate Land” instead. This morning I checked my stats at Amazon, and saw that I was getting some downloads of “Pounded” but also of “Groped” — and when I saw that “Groped” was free, too, I had a brief moment of panic.
But only very brief. Because you know what? I like giving away stories, and I like having people read and enjoy them! If reading them is half as fun as writing them, then you’re in for a blast this week!
