Today on Medium, things get frisky by the fire – “Too Hot to Sleep – Bearskin & Cocoa.”
Most of these “Too Hot to Sleep” stories have, of course, been summer stories, but I thought it might be fun to switch things up and set one in the winter. I’ve had some uncomfortably hot cabin nights in the winter — heat rises, and if you’re above the furnace things can get unbearably warm, especially in an older lodge. Susie gets lucky, though, when she finds that there’s another guest who has a similarly hot room, and also a way with cocoa.
